A Litte About Me
I'm Meytha AlShehhi, an Emirati ceramic artist, creative wellbeing coach and a third-culture kid who has always been curious about people, cultures and the stories that connect us.
Growing up between cultures made me appreciate both our differences and the little things we share. It also sparked a curiosity about my own roots and the traditions I grew up around but didn't always fully understand.
After 15+ years in the corporate world, I wanted to make more room for creativity and the things that bring people together. Alongside my ceramic practice, I became a certified Holistic Integrated Creative Art Therapy Coach from The Holistic Academy.
Today, I bring these interests together through creative wellbeing workshops, one-to-one coaching and my ongoing exploration of Emirati heritage.
The Story Behind Nadbat Meytha
Nadbat Meytha is my way of reconnecting with my roots, celebrating the stories that shaped us and sharing what I discover along the way.
The name Nadbat Meytha brings together two parts of my identity. Al Nadbah, the traditional war call of the Shehhi tribe, represents an echo, while Meytha, my name, means fertile land. Together, I like to think of it as an echo of the UAE, its land and the stories it holds.
It's a space where I can keep learning, creating and connecting with others. Whether through clay, conversations with Emirati elders or creative wellbeing sessions, I hope to celebrate what makes us different, discover what brings us together and carry a little of what I've learned forward.
And knowing me, there will always be another question to ask.
